What information is collected?
At TrustTheEvidence.net our blogs and other content is available without registration. When you access our website services, our servers automatically record the information your browser provides. These logs can include your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser. This information is shared with Google Analytics so we can improve our site, for instance, by making popular content more accessible. If you register with TrustTheEvidence you will be asked to supply a username and email address. The username is your identity on the site and will be shown alongside any articles or comments you publish. If you wish to retain some anonymity you can use a random username. After registration, you will be emailed a password, so you can log into the site. We recommend that you change this password to something more memorable via your 'My Account' page available from the link in the top menu.
Please note, users who register but do not log in within 12 weeks will have their account deleted. These users will then have to re-register.
We provide users of TrustTheEvidence.net with the ability to leave comments on our articles.
Users may not post explicit advertisements or product links in their comments unless the reference or link is pertinent to the blog post. Furthermore, if a comment makes an explicit reference to a third party product or service, TrustTheEvidence.net reserves the right to remove that reference or the entire comment if it deems it irrelevant to the article or immediate online discussion.
Users who post irrelevant comments or post comments with links to irrelevant products will have their comments deleted and their account terminated. Please post your comments in English, or else provide an English translation. Comment titles should be in English.
Authors of articles and comments on TrustTheEvidence, (hereinafter "Authors"), by submitting their content to TrustTheEvidence, thereby grant to TrustTheEvidence a perpetual, irrevocable and non-exclusive license to publish that content on TrustTheEvidence, to provide feeds to that content via RSS and other syndicate data feeds, and to use that content in any marketing activities relating to TrustTheEvidence and its business activities. Authors further warrant that they have the right to make and publish the content submitted
Authors are responsible for the content they post, and TrustTheEvidence accepts no responsibility and provides no warranties in respect of that content. Authors agree and accept that TrustTheEvidence reserves the right to, and may at any time, remove content, text within content, including links, pictures and figures, which it deems to be offensive, inappropriate or illegal.
